Karla Alfier

Karla is a sustainability enthusiast-turned-expert with a legal background (she passed the Croatian bar exam but never pursued an attorney-at-law career) who spent almost a decade in a Big4 consultancy. She successfully established a new portfolio of sustainability services at her former employer and has decided to do so again within her own company. Until now, she has been supporting the largest companies in Croatia in their sustainability efforts and has, among other things, led the ESG team that participated in the first Croatian issuance of sustainability-linked bonds. As a lawyer, she is keen on exploring what new regulations bring and how one can integrate these into daily business operations while emphasizing preserving natural resources and biodiversity.
